FAQ

Straight answers before you apply.

What do I need to lease on?+
A truck you own or lease, a valid CDL where required for your equipment, and your driving credentials. Box-truck operators don't need their own authority — you run under Crewline's. We verify the details during qualification.
Do I keep my own truck?+
Yes. It stays your truck and your business. You lease onto Crewline's authority — you're not signing your equipment over to anyone.
How does pay and settlement work?+
Crewline uses one flat, transparent weekly package instead of a percentage of your gross — so the more you haul, the more you keep. You also keep your fuel surcharge and approved accessorials, with weekly, itemized settlements. See the full breakdown in "How pay works" above; your final insurance allocation is confirmed when you're underwritten.
Is there forced dispatch?+
No. Dispatch is there to support you, not command you. Your loads are your call — take what fits your lanes and your home time.
Can I run a box truck without my own authority?+
Absolutely. Many box-truck operators don't hold their own MC. You lease your truck onto Crewline and run under our DOT authority and cargo insurance — a real equipment-and-services lease, with every term in writing.
What will you need from me to get set up?+
Standard DOT lease-on paperwork: your CDL (front & back), Social Security card, DOT medical card, your truck's annual inspection, registration, bobtail insurance, an email address, and your zip code for the drug test. We walk you through every step.
I have my own authority — can Crewline just handle my dispatch?+
Yes. Dispatch-only drivers keep their own MC and insurance while Crewline runs the load desk — finding freight, negotiating rates, and handling the paperwork — for a flat fee. Apply the same way and pick "dispatch only"; a recruiter will walk you through the terms.
How fast can I start?+
Once you qualify, we handle plates, permits, and dispatch setup so you can be rolling under our authority in days, not months.
